My profile

I am writing this blog from UK. My involvement in civil society started in October 2009 at a conference organised by ATTAC in Paris where I discovered how the Carbon Trading system works. I was so outraged and revolted that I decided to join few environmental activist groups in UK and campaign in my local constituency. During that time I wrote in-depth articles about the challenges we face and what it really means for poor communities across the world.

What trigger my revolt was the injustice and the misleading role of the media.  At Copenhagen, I have seen police abusing their power and brutalising innocent peaceful protesters but mainstream media was not interested!

After that experience, I decided to become an active member of visionOntv. VisionOntv is an independent video platform distribution for social change, hosting and aggregating best video grassroots content across the web. The objective is to take on the corporate media, by linking alternative media together using the principles of Internet search engine indexation.

I believe we are indoctrinated and have absorbed passively the views of the powerful that shapes our vision of the world and does not allow us to see the reality in a way that brings self-determination. I suffer from alienation and will free myself through critical reflection here and now.  Ultimately the objective is to take collective action to make the world a fairer place.
